The university must serve as a breeding ground for scientific activity, a real laboratory where teachers and scholars work together to investigate new truths and review issues which have already been considered. In this way, students’ critical awareness and – more importantly, given the special purpose of our University - their spirit of research are educated.”
Father Agostino Gemelli, man of religion, doctor and researcher, founder of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, by these words already in 1917 expressed the values we still believe in. The School of Economics and Law’s mission is to provide accessible, affordable, engaging and highly effective higher education, because we believe that higher education is a basic human right and a lifelong experience.
We implement active and participatory teaching methods, we support research activities, including those of interdisciplinary nature, we work in constant contact with the economic labor market to train marketable skills; we consider ourselves a place of progress in terms of knowledge and of existence, because for us the "spirit of research" is not only scientific but also human.
The faculty is a young and dynamic community, open and projected towards the world but rooted locally.
