Dear students,

after the summer break, university activities will resume for the new academic year and I wish to inform you of the main changes that will affect the academic environment.

The fall session of profit exams will be held in presence. Please note that, compared to the indications adopted for the past summer session, there is the possibility of taking exams remotely but only for health reasons specifically related to Covid-19 (i.e. being positive to the virus, being in preventive quarantine, living with people in a fragile physical state; reasons related to other health problems are not allowed), to be documented by uploading the reason and the justification in the exam registration system; logistical reasons (being off-site, having to make a longer or shorter journey to reach the campus, etc.) will no longer be accepted unless strictly related to the impossibility to attend the exams. No more logistic reasons will be accepted (being off-site, having to make a longer or shorter journey to reach the campus, etc.) if not strictly related to the impossibility of reaching Italy, being abroad. Professors may consider the reasons given and deny the possibility to take the exam remotely if they do not meet the criteria listed above.

The fall session of graduate exams will be held in presence. Remote mode will be granted only for health reasons specifically related to Covid-19 (see details for profit exams above).

For the academic year 2021/22, lectures and face-to-face teaching activities will be held in presence, on the basis of shifts that will take into account the need to ensure reduced classroom capacity to an extent compatible with the rules on spacing. Therefore, the dual mode will be maintained: the professor will be in the classroom with the students, while the students who cannot access it that day will follow the lesson remotely via live streaming. The lesson will be video-recorded and the video recording will remain available for two weeks. The class schedule and times, modalities, and shifts will be available on the iCatt portal and the iCatt app, promptly updated.

The guidelines described above remain valid unless health conditions change, requiring adjustments to health regulations and measures taken by the competent authorities.
